STATE Studio is an art-science gallery and event space in Berlin-Schöneberg.

Through its exhibition laboratory and open program, it offers curated deep-dives into current trends in science, society and innovation and creates a platform for collaboration between artists, scientists and curious others.

We also invite you to host your own event or use the workshop room.

Can neuroscientific research, design and art be used to promote empathy and togetherness? The artistic research project BRAINPALACE wants to find out exactly that and has been exploring the potential that lies in the combination of art and neurofeedback since the beginning of this year. The goal is to develop a light and sound installation in the exhibition laboratory of STATE Studio, which should make it possible to experience the common sensation in a group.

Our exhibition laboratory Field Experiments brings tomorrow’s every-day life into a participative experiential space and shows inspiring works of artists and researchers exploring the creative friction between cutting-edge science, artistic expressions, and societal impact. In the form of curated deep-dives into current trends of research and innovation, they create opportunities to experience, discuss and co-create developments that shape our future.
