Laura Kaltwasser is a postdoctoral fellow at the Berlin School of Mind and Brain investigating the development of socio-cultural identity within the Einstein project of Prof. Vittorio Gallese.
She earned her PhD examining the influence of emotional abilities on social decisions and their physiological correlates. She is combining game theoretical paradigms with neurophysiological recordings (EEG) in order to understand the biological underpinnings of cooperation behavior.
Laura studied Psychology, Communication Studies and Political Science at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the Freie Universität in Berlin and the University of California, Berkeley. She acquired field experience in sustainable development through a project in Nicaragua (Foundacion Fenix) sponsored by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of United Nations (FAO).
