Co-Founder at STATE Studio Berlin
Johanna is heading communications at STATE and is, together with Christina, responsible for the exhibition program at STATE Studio. After having worked with STATE as a freelancer since 2014, Johanna has joined the permanent team in 2018 as co-founder of STATE Studio Berlin contributing her experience with building cultural spaces and drawing on interdisciplinary practice to explore the impact of technology in culture and society.
After graduating with a B.A. from University College Maastricht, she co-founded LEHRTER SIEBZEHN Open Project Space Berlin, acted as program coordinator for the German-Mexican Year, worked as director of NODE Forum for Digital Arts, and was Head of Communication at MESO Digital Interiors GmbH. Next to her work with STATE, Johanna lectures at the Department of Electronic Media at Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach.
