Maike Mia Höhne is a filmmaker and curator. From 2007 to 2019 she headed the Berlinale Shorts section of the Berlin International Film Festival. As curator and juror she works for institutions, Goethe Institutes and festivals worldwide. Höhne teaches with a professorship for film at the University of Applied Sciences Europe in Hamburg. Since March 2019 she has been the artistic director of the Short Film Festival Hamburg.

She lives with her husband and their two children in Hamburg.
