Mirthe van Popering
Mirthe van Popering is a Dutch storyteller, cultural analyst and former cultural manager living and writing in Berlin. She creates short stories, poems and medium format photographs and spends her days between the lines, collecting juice for dreams ahead.
Besides her work as a freelance writer, translator and language coach, Mirthe tells stories that hold glimpses of today. She intuitively interlaces fiction and fact, identities and borders, ethics and power structures, always returning to a place of collective vulnerability and hope.
Mirthe completed her studies in Modern and Contemporary Arts and Philosophy at the University of Utrecht and the Freie Universität Berlin in 2014 and a master’s degree in Cultural Analysis at the University of Amsterdam in 2017.
