Tanja Straka is a postdoctoral researcher at the Technische Universität Berlin, a PostDoc alumni from the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research (IZW) in Berlin with a Ph.D. in Urban Ecology from the University of Melbourne and German Diplom in Biology from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
She has a strong passion for wildlife conservation in urban areas including people's perspectives in her research. Hence, her research to date has focused on the integration of social and natural science theories and concepts. Her work with bats includes research and fieldwork experiences in Australia, Germany, India, and New Zealand.
