Talk

Our childhood summers seemed to stretch on forever but now slip by so fast. Heart-stopping moments unravel as if in slow motion, but we barely even noticed this morning’s commute to work. How do our brains measure the passage of time? What makes it speed up or slow down? And what does subjective “brain-time” influ- ence our experience?

Dr. luke Jones is a researcher and lec- turer at the School of Psychological Sciences at the university of Manchester. He has published extensively on the human perception of time, and his work has been featured in New Scientist magazine.
