In this workshop, Amir Banifatemi, Prize Lead for the IBM AI XPrize, and Christian Rauch, Director of STATE Festival, lead the participants on a example journey of using Artificial Intelligence tools to address grand future challenges.

This workshop is using the moonshot methodology that aims to imagine radical solutions to huge problems with the help of breakthrough technologies that provide exponential improvements compared to existing incremental approaches.

The workshop is divided into three parts. In the first part, participants will get a broad overview of existing AI tools and methods. In the second part, participants will work together in groups in order to use these tools to prototype bold solutions to future grand challenges. In the last part, groups will present their prototypes and share their experience.

During the course of the workshop, participants will be able to jumpstart their learning in Artificial Intelligence, learn how to frame complex and high impact challenges, and explore how different AI tools can be used to help achieve real-life moonshots.

The workshop is targeted at non-experts, no previous technical knowledge in artificial intelligence is required.
