From 28 to 30 March 2019, Kompetenzzentrum Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft des Bundes hosted Gestaltungsmaschine Innovationcamp in Berlin. The two-and-a-half-day workshop program took its participants on an immersive journey into the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and, together with invited experts and artists tested the potential of the key technology on the basis of real applications in culture, business and society. More than 80 invited participants worked out exemplary approaches at workshop stations guided by innovative initiatives working at the intersection of culture and artificial intelligence. The interdisciplinary team impressively demonstrated the potentials of cultural and creative work in the field of AI – whether as mediators between innovation drivers and the public, as users of AI technologies in the creative, art and culture sectors or as active players in experimenting with AI.
