The Curious Minds Community
We feel that the challenges of our era ask for new ways of learning, producing knowledge and cooperating with one another. This led us to create Curious Minds: a transdisciplinary community of thinkers and actors working at the intersection of art, science, technology and society. Its purpose is to explore and challenge the boundaries of present knowledge and shape unconventional ideas for our future.
The community initiative Curious Minds offers an open environment where members can build meaningful connections over time and engage in creative, collective experimentation. While exploring in small groups the wicked problems of our times, the members develop new forms of collective thinking and learning beyond disciplinary boundaries. The Curious Minds initiative currently offers two types of programs: the ArtScience Monthly and the Collaborative Journeys.
Our past Curious Minds projects
The ArtScience Monthly was a series of gatherings taking place every third Tuesday of the month. Open to all, they aimed to create a space where participants could develop new connexions with one another while exploring questions related to art, science and society. These gatherings were curated either by the STATE Studio team or members of the Community.

The Collaborative Journeys are programs that span over a few months whereby members from diverse backgrounds work in small groups on a joint project. The results of these collaborations are presented as part of STATE Studio’s program.
Discover here the project “Unrecognised Borders of Transient Beings” realised from June to October 2020 by the Deep Dive Collective as part of a Collaborative Journey.

Get to know our Curious Minds
The photographs by Veronika Hubert Natter offer us a glimpse into our Curious Minds’ creative lives. Through a series of written interviews, our members will start to introduce us to their universe and share some insights on how they envision learning and collaboration in the future.
The Curious Minds members are artists, scientists, researchers, philosophers, makers, technologists, entrepreneurs, students or creative and curious citizens. They share a vivid interest in societal questions, an open and collaborative mindset, as well as a desire to learn from others and question their own thinking patterns.
