Moonshots in Artificial Intelligence: An Evening with XPRIZE

Join us for an evening with the legendary XPRIZE Foundation and learn how teams around the world use moonshot thinking to tackle the world’s grand challenges using cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence technologies.

On the occasion of the current call for wildcard entries to the IBM WATSON AI XPRIZE and the celebration of STATE Festival’s Ambassadorship for the IBM WATSON AI XPRIZE, Amir Banifatemi, AI Lead at XPRIZE, and Dr. Christian Rauch, Director of STATE Festival and IBM WATSON AI XPRIZE Ambassador, will present XPRIZE as an organization as well as the 5 Mio USD XPRIZE, and give an overview of competing teams and current possibilities to participate. The seminar is followed by a free mini-workshop, introducing the participants to moonshot thinking as an innovation methodology using AI and exponential technologies.

About the IBM Watson AI XPRIZE
The IBM Watson AI XPRIZE is a 4-year, $5 million competition challenging teams globally to develop and demonstrate how humans can collaborate with powerful AI technologies to tackle the world’s grand challenges. The three finalist teams will take the TED stage in 2020 to deliver TED Talks demonstrating what they have achieved. Currently, there are 146 teams in 22 countries competing on challenges ranging from medical diagnostics, smart cities, AI ethics, fake news, and earthquake prediction, amongst others.
