On this last evening of "POWER CAGE - Experimentalraum Aquarium" Felicity Mangan will present a performance of field and hydrophonic ocean recordings, made in Syros Greece in the summer, played through transducers, objects and a stereophonic system.
About POWER CAGE - Experimentalraum Aquarium:
The invention of the aquarium by self-taught natural scientist Jeanne Villepreux-Power (1794-1871) made the mysterious underwater worlds observable and brought the sea into the bourgeois living room. For the interdisciplinary exhibition "POWER CAGE - Experimental Space Aquarium", fifteen artists were inspired by this groundbreaking invention.
WIth new works by Billy Roisz, Antje Vowinckel, Ioana Vreme Moser, Christina Ertl-Shirley aka Lilith Finkenzeller & Ruth Waldeyer, Claudia Reiche, Katharina Ludwig & Sandra Babing, Sabine Ercklentz, Uta Neumann, Anouschka Trocker, Mara Wagenführ, Mira Safura O'Brien and Felicity Mangan.
