As an impetus for a change in awareness, the project aims to open up new spaces for dialog and reflection on the multifaceted topic of IT security. Through an artistic journey, together with researchers from CASA and the Horst-Görtz-Institute for IT security at the Ruhr-University Bochum, the impact of our digital existence on the social freedoms of society, and the systems on which it is based, will be investigated and rethought.

In collaboration with STATE, CASA launches an art-science-residency which goes beyond conventional science communication and promotes public engagement. The program aims to develop a collaboratively designed artwork that provides an aesthetic and reflexive interpretation of IT security and a practice-based, artistic research in the context of science.
The open call invites artists to apply for a 2-month interdisciplinary program with CASA and HGI researchers.
