Curating an edition of the ArtScience Monthly
Curating an edition of the ArtScience Monthly
May 2021 - ongoing
At STATE Studio, we're getting the community involved by inviting you to realise upcoming editions of the ArtScience Monthly as guest curators.
In that way, we hope to further grow relationships of giving & receiving between members of the Community. You give: you create a meaningful experience for the community, meant to share inspiration and foster interdisciplinary exchanges. You receive: through the discussions, the community offers you new insights on the theme that you are curious about. You get experience in organising an event in the art-science field and connect to a network of very curious minds.
What exactly?
We invite a duo of curators to be involved at all the levels of the preparation of the event. That means:
Curation of the event: decide on a theme, select the speakers.
Speakers Management: send the invitations, conduct the briefing calls, collect the bio & pictures.
Communication: write the event text and the social media posts.
Breakouts Rooms: write the discussion prompts.
Program Plan: refine/adapt the program of the event.
Co-moderation of the event.
How?
The STATE team will guide you through each step of the preparation process. We provide you with guidelines and templates, take time with you during two video calls and offer written ongoing support to organize and moderate the event.
For whom?
This opportunity is for all of you who want to curate a meaningful community experience around topics that matter to you and who want to support a knowledge sharing culture beyond institutional frameworks.
While you can work alone on an event, we recommend that you do it as a duo instead. That way, you share the workload and, through your collaborative process, you create new bonds together and learn from one another! If you're interested but don't have a partner yet, don't hesitate to contact us: we can help you find a Curious Mind whose curiosity resonates with yours.
Contact us!
If you are interested in organising an edition of the ArtScience Monthly, please write us a few lines about yourself and possibly an idea/some first ideas on the theme that you would like to focus on. We’re looking forward to reading from you!
